Early Literacy Class: Story Stretchers
Ages 5-7
Story Stretchers is an advanced Early Literacy Class designed to increase independence at the Library and promote learning through books. Children read together, play more advanced literacy games and make a crafty art project. Children attend class on their own.

Registration Required. You are registering for the Spring Session which lasts through May.

Ages 24-36 months
Parent & Tot is an introductory Early Literacy Class designed to increase children's comfort level with books and the written word. Children listen to stories, sing active songs and finger plays, get up for active dances, and work on fine motor skills with an age-appropriate art project. Class ends with the Clean-Up Train followed by the Rainbow Song. Children attend class with a caregiver.

Children of all abilities and stages of development are welcome at Storrs Library. Sensory-enhanced storytime is an inclusive program developed for all ages, children through young adults, who are on the autism spectrum or differently able. Stories are presented at a preschool level of development. Sensory Storytime will meet on the First Saturday of every month from September through May.

We will offer a consistent and caring environment to come together for songs, picture books, simple crafts and/or activities. Feedback from caregivers will always be welcome.

Page Partners is a fun-filled book group open to students in grades 6 to 8, with an adult reading partner. This group meets monthly and includes a lively discussion, snack and a related project!
