Summertime Stories (all ages)
10:30 AM - 11:30 AM

Summertime Stories is designed around this year's Summer Reading Program theme, "Libraries Rock!" In addition to captivating stories, children will have plenty of opportunities to get up, move around, sing, and play games. We will hold storytime indoors, but bring your sneakers, sunblock and water for an "I Spy" walk around the block afterwards.

Storytime Walking Route: Walk up the driveway to Longmeadow St. Turn left and walk down to Williams St. Turn left and walk up to Williams Ct. Turn left, walk down Williams Ct. to the baseball fields. From the baseball fields we will take the path on the right through the woods to come out at the back of the Library’s parking lot.

Join us for this do-it-yourself workshop featuring a 3D Printer, robotics, a balloon maker event and opportunities to use many materials to create to your heart's content. Father/son team of Arthur and Peter Evans will be on hand to teach and demonstrate these amazing tools. Space is limited -This program is designed for ages 8 and up.

This program is supported in part by a grant from the Longmeadow Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.  It is also sponsored in part by the MOMS Club of Longmeadow.

Almost Mile Family Fun Run and 5K

Come to the town green and visit the Longmeadow Book Bike at the Almost Mile Family Fun Run and 5K!

The MOMS Club of Longmeadow, is holding their Third Annual Almost Mile Family Fun Run and 5K, to raise funds to support the Storrs Library and their Discovery Room. Funds raised will go towards programming for the community and museum passes.

There will be a family festival on the Green with prizes and activities for the whole family, including visits from Police Dog Kai and the Longmeadow Police and Fire Departments!
