Let's talk! Early Language Skills and Technology

Dr. Ellen Rustico, Chair of Education Programs at Bay Path University, will discuss the stages of language
development of children from birth through age six. Katie McGonigle, Director of Youth Services at Storrs Library, will provide a brief introduction to and demonstration of the library's new Starling kit collection. Starlings are an early educational wearable, designed to help caregivers get real time feedback on their interactions with child(ren).
This presentation is geared toward parents and caregivers of children from birth to age five.

Help eliminate your book fines at Richard Salter Storrs Library by donating non-perishable food for the Longmeadow Food Pantry!

During the Month of March, $1 in fines will be waived for each food item donated, up to $5 per library card.

The Longmeadow Food Pantry is very appreciative of our Food for Fines drive.

Formed in 2000, the Toe Jam Puppet Band offers a special brand of hands-on children's entertainment that grown-ups can actually enjoy. The performances are very active, encouraging kids and parents to sing and dance along with the band as they entertain with a unique combination of original songs, masterful shadow puppetry, storytelling and just plain old good fun.

Meeting Rooms are available for group study. Refreshments will be provided after 7p.m. Longmeadow High School ID required for admission.
This is an Longmeadow High School only event. From 8-10 p.m. the Library will be CLOSED to all others.
