The Storrs Library Book Bike will travel to the Longmeadow Farmers Market, and this visit will include a special guest. So grab your family, grab your bikes, and book it on over to meet a local children's author at the Longmeadow Farmer's Market. Author Christina Uss will be reading from and signing copies of her debut children's novel THE ADVENTURES OF A GIRL CALLED BICYCLE, the story of a twelve-year-old girl who rides her bike across the United States in search of her first true friend.

2:00 - Meet at the Library with your bike and ride with Christina to the Farmers Market!

3:15 - Christina will read excerpts from her book.

If there is inclement weather, the author visit will be held at Storrs Library

Weather permitting this program will be OUTSIDE so please dress in comfortable clothing, sneakers and sunblock. There is a limited number of jump ropes available, if you have your own please bring it!

Starlings are an early educational wearable, designed to help caregivers get real time feedback on their interactions with child(ren).

During the Month of March, $1 in fines will be waived for each food item donated, up to $5 per library card.

Formed in 2000, the Toe Jam Puppet Band offers a special brand of hands-on children's entertainment that grown-ups can actually enjoy. The performances are very active, encouraging kids and parents to sing and dance along with the band as they entertain with a unique combination of original songs, masterful shadow puppetry, storytelling and just plain old good fun.
