Library to Go
Library to Go is a monthly home delivery service designed for Longmeadow residents who are temporarily or permanently unable to visit the Library in person.  Volunteer drivers from the Longmeadow Adult Center will visit participants monthly to deliver (and pick up) Library materials. Patrons may request up to five items from the Storrs Library’s collection.  Selections will be based on individual preferences.  Library to Go patrons may also request assistance placing holds from other Libraries.  To participate in this program, please complete the registration form or phone us at 565-4181 x-1607.

Place an Order for Library Items
To request materials, please place a HOLD in our online catalog.  If you are unable to place a HOLD electronically, you may call the library at 413-565-4181 during our hours of operation (listed above).  We ask that you provide us with the titles of books, movies, or audiobooks you would like to check out.

Item Pickup
When your HOLD is ready, you will receive an email, text or phone call. Once you receive this notice, you may come to the Library to pick up your item.  We now have self-serve Holds Shelves.  Items on the Holds Shelves are arranged alphabetically according to the first 4 letters of your last name followed by the last 4 numbers of your Library Card number.  Once you find your items you can check them out either at the Self-Checkout Station or at the Main Circulation Desk.

Friends of the Library Book Nook
The Friends of Storrs Library have an ongoing sale of gently used books, DVDs and CDs, located in the shelves on the landing of our front staircase.  Prices are as follows, unless otherwise marked.

  • Paperback books $1.00
  • Hardcover books $ 2.00
  • DVDs & CDs $1.00
