Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Richard Salter Storrs Library!  Library volunteers provide an invaluable service to the patrons and staff at Storrs Library.  Together we are able to provide an organized and inviting community space for all to enjoy.

Library volunteers perform a variety of duties, depending on the needs of the staff. Volunteers can shelve materials, shelf read, help with book displays, assist with repairs to materials and help support programming. In order to apply for a volunteer opportunity at Storrs Library, please complete an application form.

Applications are retained for one year, and when openings arise applicants will be contacted.  Once contacted, volunteers will need to complete a Criminal Offender Record Information (C.O.R.I.) form. Volunteers will be trained and supported throughout their time at the library.  The library asks for a six-month commitment and averaging about one hour per week.
